At Fulton-Montgomery Community College (FMCC), a campus of the State University of New York (SUNY), we are committed to helping our students reach their educational goals. Teaching and advising are our most important activities. International students find FMCC a good place to start in the American system of higher education. We develop an academic foundation and the self-confidence that foreign students need to pursue their studies in the United States. Our associate degree programs are equivalent to the first two years of study in a four-year university program. We also have a one-year General Education Certificate that simultaneously earns students their New York State High School Equivalency Diplomas. Fulton-Montgomery Community College is located on 195 acres in the foothills of the beautiful Adirondack Mountains, between Albany and Utica, New York. FMCC is dedicated to providing students with a quality education in an environment that nurtures success. With over 40 degree and certificate programs, we offer small classes, individualized attention, and many diverse programs. Centered on a picturesque campus quad, campus facilities include a Student Union Building, The Evans Library, Communications and Media Arts Building, a Physical Education Building, which houses a state-of-the art Wellness Center, a Classroom Building and an Administration Building. Average Temperatures Low (winter): 23°F/-5°C High (summer): 77°F/25°C

Student life

Many students at FMCC choose to become involved. There are many ways to engage at a community college. They offer 31 student clubs and organizations including a very active Student Government Association and Student Activities Office. FM also offers a Student Ambassador program, where students can assist with campus tours and special events on campus. If the student is interested in becoming involved, suggest they stop by the Student Activities Office in the College Union building. FMCC is part of the National Junior College Athletic Association and we offer seven different competitive sports teams. They are Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, Men's and Women's Soccer, Men's and Women's Basketball. Our teams are called the Raiders. Visit our Athletics section for more information about athletics and check out the schedules for games.
